Nighttime Hard-Ons and Blue Testicles — Is It Safe?

As someone who is still fairly new to the world of chastity, I’ve had some worries about this. At night, I often wake up with an erection that feels like it’s straining against my device. That part isn’t surprising to me. What does worry me is how blue my testicles look when this happens; they turn a lovely shade of blue. Going for a larger ring size helps ease the issue somewhat, but then there’s a risk of the device hanging too loosely on me (I’m currently using one from the CB series).
I know that waking up with erections occasionally is normal and to be expected. However, I am concerned whether blood flow in this area might become overly restricted during these times. In my experience, those blue testicles don’t last for ages, and they usually return to their usual color pretty quickly once the erection goes down. Still, I can’t say for sure exactly how long they stayed blue before I woke up.
So, when you wake up with a nighttime “erection”, do you normally see your balls turning blue? Or is it more important from a health standpoint to choose a ring size that’s large enough to keep blood flowing even during these erection episodes?
slinky, In my humble opinion (IMHO), having blue balls isn't great. I believe there could be health risks if the condition persists for too long. That said, I am not a medical professional, so perhaps someone with more expertise will add their thoughts. In general, I think every person wearing a device experiences some discomfort from morning erections now and then. Usually, going to the bathroom brings relief. There was only one instance where it became uncomfortable enough that I finally asked for my device to be taken off briefly.
I often wake up with a hard, sometimes painful erection in my penis tube, and my testicles are so swollen they look like they might burst. lol. I always check them and notice they have a healthy pink color to them, which keeps me from worrying too much. The discomfort is usually gone after just a few minutes of getting busy with morning tasks (like brewing coffee, feeding the dogs, peeing, etc.). However, my perspective would change if I saw any discoloration. "Blue Balls" should really just be an expression/idiom in this context. I wear a metal device myself though. Maybe someone using a CB series model will jump in with their experience? I’ve heard there are various methods involving spacers and other parts to resolve these issues.
