Striking Out Against Erotic Trends

I had an unusual experience tonight that I wanted to share and see if others have similar stories. Back when I ran track, sometimes we would reach a point in our workout where we simply couldn’t run any further. We called it “hitting the wall.” I don’t know if people still use that term today. Bear with me; I am getting to the point about something other than running.
I like wandering around the internet and reading all sorts of sexy content. If I actually did things rather than just read about them, I’d be a straight switch, and I think I have an open mind regarding various kinks.
Until tonight. I was reading some femdom blogs, specifically “Woman in Control” and “On Female Dominance of the Male,” along with others they linked to. The stories about cruel dominas and their abuse felt unsexy, boring, and frankly made me feel queasy. I had hit the wall regarding this specific flavor of sexual expression.
I’m not criticizing you dominas or those in female-led marriages. Different strokes for different folks; live and let live is my motto. I am just a bit shocked that things I used to read about, even fantasize over, could suddenly taste like bile and ash. It has been about two hours since then, and the thought of returning to those sites remains completely unappealing.
My questions for you now that you have made it through my ramble: Have you ever had a similar experience? Did you get a second wind and go back, or did the change take root and stay for a while? Please share with me. I am intensely curious about this. Maybe I’m just coming down with the flu? Eido
Sometimes, things that you thought were totally out of the question can become a wonderful reality. One such example was when, right in the middle of sexy play, our tongues found their way to each other's anus. And I still remember that long-ago evening where I gave a male friend of mine a BJ (while his wife played with my cock, which clearly helped). Other things *are* out of the question, and they *will stay* that way. Playing with feces comes to mind for me. Female (or male) domination 24/7 or something like an FLR is also not for us. Stories relating to chastity where females play evil games, deliberately breaking the ground rules, don't turn me on either. I (and we) are into the loving and playful aspect. So yes, there can be a "second wind" in erotic things, but there are also walls that cannot be torn down, no matter how often you hit them. K

Just as an aside - Cruel abusive dominas and female-led marriages are about as related to each other as hard-core porn is to marital lovemaking, Eido. Try not to confuse the two, and perhaps your nausea will subside.
I absolutely totally agree with Celtic Queen. A female-led relationship has nothing at all to do with getting your ass beat by a psycho man-hating woman. My wife and I are practicing FLR, and she has never spanked, slapped, or struck me for any reason at all. The abuse of a willing submissive is a totally different kink.
I can definitely identify with the "Hitting the wall" aspect when it comes to some erotica. There are a lot of things I used to read that are totally boring to me now. Other things that used to be a turn-off but now arouse me. Our tastes change, I suppose.
I agree that our tastes change over time. Mine certainly have. What amazes me is that the response to a pretty woman never fails. The turn of a hip, the sight of a little neck, long legs. Amazing! Other senses dull and fatigue with repeated exposure, but the sensation associated with the organ I can't touch goes on and on and on.
