Is the lock making noise?

Does the lock produce a similar sound when it strikes a jailbird as it does with plastic gadgets?

I can't speak specifically for the jailbird, but I managed to silence the lock on my CB-600 by just looping a rubber band around it. It's affordable, straightforward, and works well!

While wearing my jailbird, I never encountered any issues with the lock being loud. I was using a brass master lock. The fit was snug enough to prevent it from flopping around. It would shift slightly, though, and I preferred it folded back rather than standing upright or facing forward. I secured everything tightly where I wanted it by wrapping a very small nylon wire tie around both the hasp and the back ring. If you remove your device daily this might be annoying, but for longer wear periods, it’s excellent.
