Alright, I have a query for anyone here who has had a PA piercing themselves or whose partner does. How much does it hurt, and is the effort worth the result? It used to be something Jnuts would definitely say no to, and I never really minded either way. But now, as with many other things in life, we’re leaning towards ‘maybe’… By the way, Thumper, this is on you. That picture of yours looks fantastic.;)

Wow, you're accelerating from zero to sixty in no time at all! I'm not saying that as a criticism; honestly, I'm a bit envious. I haven't been able to convince Ab to get one because he had such a sore and painful experience with his nipple (the other side was fine). What guys have told me is that the PA heals up fast and isn't too painful in comparison. Like any piercing though, aftercare matters a lot. The more careful you are about keeping it clean and turning the jewelry around, the better your outcome will be. As I always say, saline soaks are your best friend.... For what it's worth, my nipples hurt much less than my navel did, and they healed faster too. (The belly button piercing is gone now.) D

It could be an option down the road. Just not at this moment.

I'm afraid of needles and I adore my penis... so it would be a while.

You two are adorable. OK, let's cover a few points. First off, the actual piercing procedure isn't that painful. Honestly, the most uncomfortable part is when they slide the receiving tube into your urethra. I don't remember feeling the needle go through at all. It was done and the ring was in place before I realized it, but that tube burned. Secondly, my PA idea involving the JB didn't quite work out for me. Bits of skin get caught between the ring and the JB's bars too often. Usually it's just a quick twinge, sometimes lasting several seconds, but it gets really irritating and makes the end of my cock look pink and angry. The small bar I inserted was totally useless. Besides adding to the pinching caused by the existing cage parts, it wasn't even necessary. I managed to place the ring around the lower crossbar at the cage's end without issue. Still, there was still some pinching happening. There really is no avoiding that. Finally, remember that you won't be able to use the piercing for security purposes for *at least* 6 weeks after getting it done, likely longer. Add about a week of extra healing time each time you stretch up to the next gauge size (you start at either 10 or 8 - I'm currently holding at 4). Dev is right. From what I've read and heard, the PA might be the easiest piercing a guy can get. The amount of tissue pierced is very small, and it basically cleans itself (hurray for sterile urine!), so twice-daily saline soaks are all that's required. Most men don't bleed much, though there are exceptions. A 4-8 week healing period is considered short. If MyKey sees this thread, he should chime in. He recently had one done and likely has some useful insights to share.

Does it enhance anything for Belle or for you personally, or is it purely aesthetic?

member_ef260e9aa3 24 Aug 2026 #8

> member_adab360f3f wrote: > Does it enhance anything for Belle or yourself or is it just for looks? That's a really interesting question. I've had my ears pierced forever (since long before I met Ab), and he never really fiddles with my earrings or shows much interest in them. Way back when, he even wondered why I bothered having them done. Our intimate piercings are different; they're very shared experiences. He likes my nipple rings, loops chains through them, plays with them... they belong to both of us. That's partly why I'd like him to get a PA (and also a frenum piercing, but let's take it one step at a time as the saying goes). It becomes something we can both enjoy. Tattoos are sexy and visually appealing; piercings feel much more intimate. D

Belle says she can sense it, but it doesn't really affect her either way. During those rare moments when I'm permitted to masturbate, the ring often makes things feel better. In fact, even just walking around without a device on is stimulating as long as everything swings freely. I can feel the ring moving within the glans of my cock, and it's pretty cool. And after all that discussion, yes, I truly believe it's a beautiful thing to have. Not one bit of regret. I only wish I'd done it twenty years ago.

We discussed it tonight. Verdict: Definitely not for now. She despises tattoos and piercings, so I've decided to play the coward for the time being. From what I understand from others' accounts, it can be messy too.

Hey, we hadn't really considered it before, but then he brought it up last night. Got me thinking.....

Well like everything else, we are now saying well maybe.... > BTW, Thumper it is your fault. Your one pic is really hot.;) Belle, The pain is negligible in my opinion. The piercing heals quickly with relatively little discomfort. Ab & Dev, I felt that my nipples were the most painful piercings EVER compared to others. My PA and Frenum piercings were barely more than a momentary pinch by comparison. Nothing major. That said, I lean toward being on the "bleeder" side of things. I've had my PA done twice. The first attempt didn't heal well and migrated slightly. The second one healed perfectly fine. Both times bled heavily for about two days. I'd recommend going ahead with it! It's an easy procedure, and relatively low-pain compared to other piercings. mikecb

My tattoo wasn't messy at all, nor were my nipple rings. I love them all dearly. For each one, it took me quite a while to make up my mind and find the courage, but once I did, never looked back. The only slight annoyance is that I can only see my tattoo clearly in the mirror! LOL. This photo was taken right after the procedure so it's still red. It looks lovely now though. Image

I suppose now is as good a time as any to mention that I have an appointment this coming Friday for my very first tattoo. It's going on the inside of my right wrist. Image That image shows a form of a triskle (or triskelion), a Celtic symbol adopted by the BDSM community, though in our context it takes on a slightly different meaning. A friend recently posted this about tattoos on Facebook: "A tattoo is not about capturing a single meaning at one specific point in time, but rather reflecting who you are during that period of your life. It's meant to be a way for you to look back later and remember the person you were then, while also seeing how much you've changed - just as the personal significance of your tattoo will evolve as you live through more experiences." I really liked that sentiment. I feel like so much has shifted in my life recently, and this feels like a way to commemorate it all. The tangential link to BDSM appeals because that part of me has evolved too, but honestly, I just love the shape. Anyway, since we were already talking about body modifications...

Nice. Make sure to moisturize it frequently and generously after the procedure is complete, and apply sunscreen whenever you're out in direct sunlight. D

Hi Belle Thumper is spot on; I had one done recently. It didn't really hurt during the procedure itself—strong discomfort describes it better—and that strong sensation was very short-lived. Even afterwards, it's not too bad. I cycled ten miles home that same night! The first few times peeing do sting a little though. I'm also a bleeder; perhaps one or two in ten people are like me. I bled quite a bit for the first three days. Most people hardly bleed at all, but it was more of an annoyance since I had to manage wearing a suit while at work. Tissues and a rubber glove helped:) Sexy? Maybe! Still no pain though; apart from occasional twinges, it's been remarkably painless. Stretching up to the next gauge size actually hurt slightly more than expected for some reason. I love having it done—it looks cool and feels good too. My wife can't feel it inside her, which is great because I had to remove two previous piercings (not PAs) as they caused her discomfort. I'd echo Thumper's advice: don't expect to use it for chastity immediately. I tried at the 8-week mark and set myself back a bit, so I'll wait until Christmas—about three months total. But think about how rewarding it will be when it's ready; delayed gratification... If you check my blog, I have several posts detailing everything there if you want to read more. Don't let the hassle of those first few days put you off; it isn't hard and only lasts a couple of days. Healing is much quicker than for nipples or navels because this area has very fast-healing tissue. Pain really isn't an issue, though that surprises most people who hear about it. M

We are going to hold off, especially if it doesn't add much value to the sexual experience overall.
