Given all the various models you mentioned, I believe you're heading in the right direction. Some folks tend to focus on just one model and get stuck with it, only to realize later that another option might suit them better. The wide variety of styles exists largely because people have different preferences, so choosing often comes down to a well-informed guess. What I consider crucial is including your Key Holder/Housekeeper (K/H) in the process. Since they'll be looking at it and feeling it daily, their satisfaction matters just as much.

I think if the bars at the end were more like a MM Jailbird it would work better. Instead there is a small hole right in the way of where the urine has to flow. Just doesn't make sense to me. I had a Pet Trap and can tell from first hand experience that the small slots can be real pinch points for skin that protrudes. It was also a bit difficult to clean. Ironically the openings actually make it harder to clean. You cannot force water through the device because it will come out the least restrictive opening instead. Have you ruled out the Steelheart? I have found mine to match most of your criteria. It is comfortable, easy to clean, no access, super hot looking, and as secure as a TBD can be, and I can urinate while wearing it without trouble. I can use a urinal no problem although I prefer to use a stall if available. As an added bonus it is cheaper than any of the options you suggested although I would get the integrated lock and comfort ring. That is true on any of the Steelworxx devices though. good luck.

Curiousnotgeorge: Locked by LRC is currently wearing a CD that was custom designed and manufactured for him by Mature Metal. If you do intend to special order "a combination of devices" from among the various styles and options which are available, I would recommend that you contact Mature Metal, and discuss your ideas with them. Once you have both agreed upon the proposed design of the CD, they will be able to quote you a price. > Curiousnotgeorge: Yes, you will still need to order the rings! The sizes in stainless steel seem to run differently than those of the plastic CB3000-6000-6000s series CD's. Not only are there half-sizes available for the base ring, when compared with the plastic, but you will be asked to submit an inside diameter and length for the cage as well. I recently took those same measurements for my MM JailBird, which is on order, and I found significant differences by using their set of rings, when compared with the CB6000s that I had previously worn. I had been wearing the one-and-3/4 inch plastic base ring, but I discovered that the one-and-5/8 inch metal ring will be a better fit. Likewise, I ordered a cage measuring one-and-1/8 inch in diameter, and two inches in length. Of course, all of the plastic cages have a uniform inside diameter and length, and I found that I had too much "extra room" in mine! A gap of 3/8 inch between the base ring and the cage is usually standard, and is recommended by MM, unless you prefer a different size gap. This is the advantage that you will have in custom ordering a CD from a manufacturer like Mature Metal, and you will want to provide them with the most accurate measurements possible.

I didn't go far enough but that was my point about involving the K/H. When I decided to go custom LRC liked the bars of the CB2000. She also liked the way that my head was so sensitive when it came out of the CB3K/6K. Working with MM, LRC, and myself we came up with this design. It took over twenty Emails and one phone call before it was right. LRC was delighted with the finished device. If memory serves me right it was MM, then Steelworxxs, then back to MM to be finished. It took them months to get exactly what they wanted. The point being is to make sure whatever device you order if it isn't quite what you want *"off-the-rack"* talk with the maker. I think all of them will do what they can to accommodate your special need.

It looked really cool too, I would have definitely ordered one of those if I could. If you want to see a picture of it there is one in the marketplace section from when he sold it. When I ordered my Steelheart it started as just the locking cock ring that I was going to weld one of my Jailbird cages to. I was practicing my SS welding and everything. Then before it shipped I decided to add the Steelheart tube to it. I loved the Steelheart so much that I never pursued that project any further.
