I’ve spent just over six months on the waitlist for a Lori 2C and need to submit my measurements soon. I have the form from her website and don’t mind writing down the numbers, but I’m unsure which ones to actually send. When I measure five times in one day, I get five completely different sizes. Usually, the average of these readings is somewhat larger than my smallest measurement. I really want to avoid ending up with a loose tube because I assume that’s harder to fix.

I’m accustomed to wearing something tight, but this will be my first custom-fit device. I need it snug enough to prevent erections without causing edema. Since I am a grower, I expect I might have to send the device back for adjustments, but my question is: do you have any tips for getting accurate measurements or rules of thumb to keep in mind while measuring?

It’s tricky because I live in Florida where it’s hot and humid outdoors but cool inside. If I measure after being outside for a few hours, I’m significantly larger than when indoors. Does anyone know if temperature-related size changes can trigger edema? I haven’t experienced it yet since my previous CBXXX had a tube that was too big.

Appreciate the tips.

I haven't used a Lori device myself, but I can share what happened with my Mature Metal device. During the measurement phase, I did it twice daily for a week. Like you, I had some variance. My dimensions swung by about 1 1/4". When I asked MM about this, he advised going with the next common size above the shortest one. It was only 1/4" larger than my smallest measurement. I took his advice and ordered that length; no regrets. I suggest you reach out to Lori directly, provide your data along with temperature details, and ask for their recommendation. The makers have plenty of experience, so I believe they offer sound, educated advice.

I'm not trying to push one device over another, but I noticed on Lori's site that the wait time for the #2 series is quite long and they've raised prices to $950. You might want to consider a Mature Metal Jailbird or Queen's Keep instead. They are similar to the #2C and can be purchased with a security screw rather than a lock. The cost is less than half of Lori's, and you'll receive it in under 8 weeks. I messed up my measurements on my first MM device but sold it before buying another from them; I only lost about $100 because they resell very well.
