Icon Status Glitch Persists in Firefox and Other Browsers

It’s not a major issue, but I’ve recently started seeing in Firefox that the icon remains red even after reading all posts. I need to manually mark everything as read for it to turn blue, yet once new posts appear, it goes back to being red regardless of whether I’ve seen them. It might be related to Firefox itself, or perhaps something on the site’s end—either way, I thought admins should probably take note.

I've noticed similar odd behavior lately when using IE and also on my iPhone reader. Usually, I rely on this link the archived discussion to display all threads with unread items, which continues to work fine. -A

My initial guess is that it's a caching problem. I encounter this occasionally on my phone but can't replicate it on my PC. If you log in multiple times daily, your browser cache might need clearing. Additionally, exiting the forum without fully refreshing makes it more likely for items to remain marked as unread (again, due to cache). Try clicking through back to the main page and see if that resolves it.

It's interesting, though, because I noticed the behavior starting around the same time on both my phone and desktop browser. My browsing routine hasn't changed much lately, so that seems less likely as the cause, it is possible nonetheless. -A
