Hello,
My partner and I have recently begun exploring chastity. I really enjoy being locked up and teased! We are currently trying to conceive, and if she becomes pregnant, I was thinking of suggesting that once she reaches the point where she can’t or doesn’t want to have sex, she could keep me in a cage for the entire duration until she is ready again.
I believe it would help me stay focused on her needs, and I know I wouldn’t trust myself not to touch myself otherwise!
Does anyone know how long that period typically lasts? Is it a sound idea? Has anyone experienced something similar?
Thank you
(I moved this from The Journey since this isn't a blog-style post) The concept of pregnancy has come up before. Some keep their partner locked to boost sperm count, while others keep them locked during the pregnancy for... well, various reasons. The catch here is that if your partner isn't feeling affectionate due to hormones, mood swings, and general exhaustion, it's going to lose its charm very quickly, and you will feel neglected. You can expect this condition to persist quite a while *after* the baby arrives, too.
Thanks for the response. Good points, and definitely things worth considering. I don't think I'd mind being neglected too much (in fact, I suspect knowing I'm being neglected would turn me on even more!). It is worth thinking a bit more about how she feels though - if she's not in the mood, will she actually want to hold the key? I believe it would be worthwhile for her because it makes me so attentive (foot rubs, etc.).

While it's possible to sexualize the *concept* of anything, the actual practice often doesn't match up or isn't as pleasurable. YMMV, of course. > It is worth thinking a bit more about how she would feel - if she's not in the mood, would she actually want to be keyholding? I think it would be worth her while because it makes me so attentive (foot rubs, etc) While she might be willing to hold the key, just realize that for her, it likely won't be a sexualized situation. Hopefully some of the women here will jump in with their perspective.
I completely agree with what Tom Allen said. Assuming this is your first baby, you might be surprised by the changes in your wife. I once joked that it was like an "Invasion of the body snatchers": This person looked just like my wife but acted differently! The point where she no longer desires sex varies from woman to woman. I know some who continue having intercourse right up until delivery! But personally, I can tell you it can also be a couple of weeks after conception. Women don't feel very sexy when they are nauseous or really uncomfortable. You can try it, but my recommendation is not to get your hopes too high and be prepared to drop the practice completely if it isn't working out. This period shouldn't be about you; it should be about your wife. She will have enough of her own issues and doesn't need extra burden or guilt. Ron
As a keyholder with two toddlers, I can tell you that I would not have wanted to bother with holding the key during the tough times of my own pregnancy. Every woman is different, but I had difficult pregnancies. I expected my husband to be attentive and helpful—not because his cock was locked in a cage, but because I was carrying his child inside me and felt sicker than a dog for months due to our decision to have kids. If I could endure the pain of losing control of my body while something else ate at me from within, then he should be able to handle being nice to me without any sexual motivation. Can you tell I feel strongly about this?;)
