Hello everyone, I’ve been wearing my CB3K for a little over seven days now and I’ve noticed that while it’s on, the skin of my scrotum gets quite tender and sore to touch. This isn’t limited to one specific spot like where the base ring or tube press against me; it covers the entire scrotal area. Usually, just touching it is fine, but when I rub or stroke the surface, it feels like a burning sensation or as if a needle is being dragged across my skin. Even with the largest combination of ring and spacer, this still occurs. Wearing the device under jeans works well for me; there’s no pain issue during regular activity. However, if I move to adjust it and that movement shifts the skin, then the discomfort returns. Sitting, walking, driving, and sleeping are all comfortable, except for an occasional pinch here and there (which is expected given what’s bolted onto my body). Does anyone have any thoughts on what might be causing this? For lubricating the base ring, I’ve tried baby oil, skin moisturizer, and silicone-based lube, but the problem remains, so those products don’t seem to be the culprit.
I experienced this early on, and occasionally still do for short bursts. I believe it’s because the skin is being stretched out, and it gets rubbed against my underwear in new ways and places that weren’t common before. It should eventually go away, but be ready to take a break from the device for a while if the pain becomes too intense. After all, this process should be enjoyable, not painful.
Hello Velth! Is your keyholder already a member here? The only time I’ve had something similar is when the gap was too narrow or if I experienced very strong nocturnal erections. What comes to mind most is ensuring that the ring surface is perfectly smooth. I used a solid ring for my older CB-3000 model; it looked fairly smooth but wasn’t quite right. I don’t recall the exact discomfort details now, but I know that sanding it down with very fine sandpaper and then polishing it using a rubbing compound on a dremel buffing wheel completely solved it. Best wishes, -A
Hi and welcome to the group! I had this once as well. Using lube on both the cuff ring and a bit directly on my skin helped considerably. I used a silicone product known as Gun Oil. I assume you’ve shaved your area too? Erections make the issue worse, but it was definitely caused by the skin struggling to move freely within the cuff ring area. When driving or sitting still, the skin doesn’t shift much, so there’s less pinching and burning. Gun Oil really saved me; I thought I might have to give up on wearing one. The quality metal cage I own now is incredibly better—it has to be experienced to believe it. The CB xxxxx models are decent, but I find them a bit harder to wear and ended up removing mine daily for cleaning. CQ's
