A Beginner Works Out Device Fit and Selection Choices

Hey there. I’ve always dreamed of being locked away and denied, so after sharing this fantasy with my girlfriend—who was very supportive—I decided to go for it and purchased a CB-6000s roughly a month ago.

My flaccid penis is on the smaller side, although it changes size quite a bit throughout the day. This variation is really bothering me with the CB device. At times I’m so small that even using a 3/8” spacer, my shaft barely fits inside the tube. If I bend over, it slides back into the tube and feels like it might pop out (though not dangerously close). When I stand up again, the top of my penis rubs against the tube in a way that points my slit upward. I quickly learned this isn’t an ideal position for peeing!

I’m also quite large when erect (a classic grower), so I need a fairly wide A-ring. The 1-3/4” ring feels very tight while flaccid and is absolutely agonizing during inevitable nighttime erections. The 1-7/8” ring reduces the pain but still wakes me up hurting. I started trying out the 2” ring, but before bed that night one of my testicles slipped loose when I bent over. I suspect a shorter spacer might fix this, especially as I go longer without ejaculating (it’s been 8 days now). Obviously, larger A-rings aren’t very secure; I can easily pull my penis out the back of any of them while flaccid.

So, does anyone have some advice? I’m thinking about getting a custom metal device, but like most people, I hesitate at the high cost. I’ve been measuring myself to prepare for this purchase, but I’m unsure how to judge the correct tube length. When measured from scrotum to tip while flaccid, my penis is about 2 to 2-1/2 inches long. However, the CB 6000s has an internal length of 2-1/2 inches, and I’m nowhere near touching the end inside; only maybe 1.5” extends into it. I believe this happens because loose skin gathers at the entrance, preventing the full penis from sliding in fully. So should I order a metal device with 1.5” internal length or go for the full 2 inches? I want it to “fit like a glove,” as Mature Metals suggests, but don’t want it to pillow out constantly. The current tube inner diameter (1-3/8”) seems fine for me.

MM offers a set of sizing rings that they send you. I am currently measuring myself for a Jailbird as well, and like you, I'm more of a grower than a shower. I originally thought I’d need extra room in the cage, but I’m starting to reconsider that view. If you can catch an erection before it grows significantly, you’ll likely be much more comfortable. In other words, a shorter cage will offer greater comfort and better long-term wear prospects compared to a longer, roomier one. Good luck with your decision.
