Until now I’ve been using a Steelheart with a 35mm tube from Steelworxx. I encountered several issues:
- The tube length was insufficient
- The tube diameter was too large (leading to shaking during orgasm)
- The large aperture at the front is quite wide… I could fit my electric toothbrush there (without the brush head attached) to stimulate my PA and keep it fixed in place … the vibrations are sufficient for quick release…
- The curvature of the PA-fixation was such that its final downward curve passed directly over my glans. This caused occasional irritation but also heightened arousal when I shook or moved the device… (creating little ridges of pleasure;-))
- I disliked how much the PA-ring slid along the fixation bar. It could drift to the side, get lodged there, etc., and overall it felt like the tube had too much play.
- While I appreciate the built-in locking mechanism, the small locks are a major temptation for picking. This isn’t about me actively WANTING to pick them, but rather constantly wondering and feeling “If I truly wanted to, I could slip out without her noticing…”. This mental state allows you to care less about your partner (since you aren’t entirely dependent on her …) which seems counterproductive to the goal of this device, right?;-) So last October (2012) I reached out to Dietmar and sent him sketches, drawings, and photos with my ideas. We swapped emails until February. I designed the following improvements:
- Increased tube length (to 110mm!)
- Reduced tube diameter (to 32mm) 2a) Reduced A-Ring size (to 41mm)
- Replaced the large front hole with a pattern of small circular holes, approximately 1.5mm in diameter.
- Adjusted the PA-fixation curve. The final bend now drops earlier, before reaching my glans rather than passing right over it …
- Added a tiny ring (5mm diameter) at the end of the PA-fixation where the penis passes through.
- Devised an option to attach a uniquely numbered seal (9mm/6mm) to the integrated lock The device was completed and shipped. I have been THOROUGHLY testing it for the past month, wearing it 24/7 in periods of two weeks or more before taking one day off for “play-time”. Results so far are excellent. Regarding length: The longer tube doesn’t pull down as much when aroused, dispelling my fear that it would constantly tug on the PA. The tighter fit also prevents any shaking or shifting within the tube. When I am aroused, it becomes so tight that internal movement is impossible; it locks completely in place. It feels more comfortable than the 35mm version, and like Atone mentioned in her post and linked community page, I’m occasionally considering trying a 29mm tube… The smaller A-Ring (41mm) required some adjustment. I was accustomed to using a 43mm ring with my previous 35mm tube. However, Dietmar explained that pairing a 43mm ring with a 32mm tube leaves too much space, risking the testicles slipping through. Initially, I thought reducing both tube and ring size would keep the available volume for the balls constant. Upon calculating the skin area, he was right—the surface area is equal between the 35/41 and 32/41 combinations. Regardless, after wearing it continuously for a month (with just one day off), I feel I am definitely adapting. I’ve even managed to sleep through the night without waking up or feeling discomfort. Not many nights yet, but some:-) The updated PA-fixation curve passes under my glans now, and I barely notice it. That must mean it works well:-) The small ring at the front where the penis enters is arguably the best feature. It keeps the PA-ring positioned forward and upright constantly. Initially, I worried that immobilizing the PA in front might cause discomfort or constant downward pull, but actually, it’s quite the opposite. Because it cannot move, it doesn’t get stuck, shift sideways, or twist. I don’t feel it at all. Since both the cage and A-ring are smaller, my body supports the KG rather than pulling on the PA. Additionally, this ring design allows for wearing a PA-Banana instead of a traditional PA-Ring. I’ve only tried it briefly since my current PA-banana doesn’t fit perfectly. Finally, regarding the integrated lock: Small locks tend to tempt me. I’m not an expert at picking them nor deeply obsessed with the craft, but this is largely mental for me. If I think “Hey, if I really wanted to, I could pick that lock without HER knowing…” then I feel independent and somewhat detached from my partner. But when I feel “owned” by her, needing her permission with no easy way out unless she knows it, the dynamic becomes much more erotic for me. So I don’t necessarily seek opportunities to pick the lock; it’s simply the possibility that I COULD! … It sounds odd, but I hope you understand. In any case, I came up with a simple method to add a small numbered seal to the integrated lock. Each seal has a unique number, is made of metal (9mm/6mm), and can only be closed once. They are easily removed by snapping the wire holding them in place, though they cannot be reattached afterwards… Things are looking good so far. As a hornily desperate guy stuck in this device for over two weeks now again, I’ve tried various things to escape, but nothing has worked yet. It’s very frustrating and highly arousing, with plenty of mental imagery. Dietmar mentioned he will post details about the new PA-fixation on his website eventually. If you’d like, I can take some photos of the device and fixation… assuming I get freed up for a bit … Cleaning my 32mm tube hasn’t been problematic. When slightly aroused, it fills completely. However, I have a small trick to help with cleaning;-) I use a plastic bottle with an opening roughly around 1 inch wide. I fill it with water (to the brim), press the neck against the tip of my tube (the seal on the bottle presses firmly against the tube) and squeeze. The result is that high-pressure water enters the tube, forcing its way between skin and tube to really flush things out. I find this much easier than using small syringes to inject from top or bottom. You can even add soap or soapy water; press and release the bottle while holding it against the tube to repeatedly flush and suck back out the soapy mix multiple times… then rinse with clean water … you get the idea.
