security screw options and experiences

my wife and i have been discussing getting a jailbird cage. currently, I am using a CB6000s model. she isn’t fond of how loud the lock clicks or having it get in the way when she rubs against me. we would appreciate hearing the pros and cons of switching to a security screw.

I use the security screw and wouldn't go back to using a lock now. From our experience: **Pros:** The device doesn't lie sideways anymore. *The MM's traditional lock lays on its side.* No jabbing of my LRC when we spoon together. *She always hated this issue with the CB series.* There is no visible bulge in the pants. *The package remains very discrete.* You don't hear that clicking sound from the device while moving. The screw head has a unique shape. *It’s an uneven triangle featuring a pin right in the middle.* **Cons:** It lacks the classic “locked” visual appearance. It doesn’t produce that satisfying “click your locked” auditory cue. The screw can work loose over time, *so you need to keep the threads clean or retighten them regularly.* You must not misplace the key, *as bolt cutters won't help in an emergency.* Locking and unlocking take a bit more effort. *Aligning the screw when inserting it can be tricky.* There is no guarantee that someone hasn’t tampered with the screw by accident at the toolbox. *We solved this issue by ordering an extra hole specifically for a plastic lock to sit in.*

Can't remember who it was exactly but... Someone here mentioned that they took an MM device and sent it back for the integrated lock upgrade.
