Fixing a Cage

I recently had the cage on my cb6k break. The seam split open and gave me a pretty bad pinch. Does anyone have suggestions for fixing it?

A few people here have glued theirs back up. I'm certain they'll add their thoughts on which adhesive worked best. Also, you should reinforce the repair with a couple of sturdy zip ties.
