Some Advice on the Bon4

Hello everyone, I’m new to the Bon4 (Plus) and would appreciate any insights from those who have used it for a while.

I switched over from my CB-6000, which was pinching me too much to keep up with (and also slipped out WAY too easily). I like the Bon4 overall, but after just a few days, I developed some severe itching. A quick trip to the bathroom confirmed that these were caused by raw abrasions forming under it. Ouch.

I suspect this was partly because I didn’t use any lubrication during at least the first day. Most of what I read simply suggested using lube, so I didn’t take its necessity as seriously as I should have. Without it, things felt extremely painful and “grabby.” I learned my lesson quickly enough, though perhaps not quite fast enough.

Now that I’ve healed up, I put the cage back on yesterday. Today I’m noticing some itching again, but this time without any actual damage. It feels like I have to re-apply lube more often than what would be practical for a normal day.

Has anyone else dealt with similar issues? Do you have any tips?
