Bruising from the PA5000 Device

My partner and I have recently started our journey into chastity. Since I have a Prince Albert piercing, we chose the PA 5000 model. It’s not meant to be comfortable, but after several days, bruising appeared around the piercing site. Has anyone else experienced this? What can I do to prevent it?
