It's chrome plated. I wouldn't recommend it.

Thanks tom, but could you give us a bit more detail? Wait...I just looked up chrome plating. The short version is that it stops rusting, provided you look after it. If the coating cracks or gets damaged, though, the metal underneath can start to corrode eventually...is that right? ------------------------------------- I'm considering upgrading from my cb6ks because showering with mine is a hassle and I want better hygiene. However, our budget isn't quite high enough for premium metals.

I've used chrome plated ones. The coating flakes off and then rust sets in. I'd steer clear.
