Severe Swelling When Taking Out a Piercing?

My husband is currently locked in full-time. We’ve dabbled in this lifestyle before, but the current setup feels distinct—it’s meant to be permanent.

We’ve tried various devices over the years without trouble. The stainless steel one we’re using now offers plenty of room, and we plan on switching to a more tailored fit with Lori’s Device shortly.

Before starting this period of chastity, my husband had about 28 piercings along his shaft. To make sure the device worked correctly, we took them all out. Since then, he’s been dealing with severe swelling!

He decided to tackle it himself one day and used a needle… The result looked like clear fluid accumulating in a pool. He drained it off, but it returned within just a few hours. He reports no pain at all, unless the swelling gets so bad that it rubs against the device.

I got quite worried, so I took the device off him. After two days away from it, the swelling disappeared!! When he put it back on and asked for his freedom to end (reinstatement), the swelling returned within hours!

It seems clear to me that his body struggles to absorb fluids while he is locked up… Is there anything we can do?? We never had this problem until we removed those piercings, so I’m at a loss…

Hi! First off, please note that I am definitely NOT medical professional! I would suggest there 'may' be (at least) two possibilities.... 1. It 'could' stem from an allergy to a material in the device.... Metal allergies are certainly possible... 2. Or it could be mechanical; perhaps the fluid drainage is being physically obstructed by the device itself.... We don’t have much evidence other than the observation that fluid gathers while he wears the device but doesn't when he's without it.... So, through elimination, it might be one of those two (amongst others!) May I ask for some details about the specific device...? It is metal... but what 'kind' of metal? It could be chrome plated, and I believe chrome is associated with allergies... Where did you source the device from...? Does it have a name or brand...? How does it fit...? Is it REALLY snug? Or is there room to move around...? Is there anything else you can share with us...? Even a photo of the cage while he's wearing it would be great...
