Is it wiser to leap straight into pricier, fully customizable units rather than climbing up the price ladder step-by-step?
A lot of people seem to begin with plastic, upgrade to better quality plastic, and finally settle on metal. If you’re willing to drop $100 on a CB6000 to gauge your interest level, then spending around $400 on hardware custom-fitted to your specific measurements might be the smarter move.

However, for someone like me who is still new to this concept, I wouldn't have wanted to shell out hundreds just to see if I actually enjoy it. It feels less like saving and more like an ongoing process.

Getting that expensive one (or indeed a cheap one) right isn't as straightforward as it looks. I definitely couldn't have started with the device I'm wearing now. I believe cheaper devices offer more utility than just testing your interest in chastity. For my part, I don't think we could have nailed the measurements as closely with an off-the-shelf option. If you are sure, then going straight for a custom device makes sense. 2. Can you get the measurements correct on the first attempt? Based on my experience and what others here have shared, the answer is clearly "no". Fortunately, manufacturers like Mature Metal understand this and offer adjustments at reasonable prices. With MM, you only need to buy a new unit if the cage diameter needs changing. You can avoid that easily by laying your completely flaccid penis (absolutely no arousal) across a ruler. It's quite easy to see what size you'll need. I chose mine with the same diameter as my penis, and among all measurements, it was clearly correct. There is one other question: Can you determine the right size for an expensive device by trying cheaper ones? I'm convinced you can get some idea, but not a precise amount of help initially. CDs can be pricey to buy and adjust at first, but if you are in this for the long haul, the investment pays off through comfort and security.

The manufacturer fitted me initially, but I still had to return for several adjustments.
