Hinged Rings Have Become Enjoyable to Wear

In my experience, hinged rings have always been a bit of a hit or miss (depending on the wearer). A while back, my KH decided she didn’t want to supervise wash times for my old CB6Ks anymore. So we picked up a short steel knock-off from eBay that’s very similar to both the Queens Keep and the Spiral device (she chose it), simply because it lets you wash without removing the device, which prevents me from getting too handsy:oops: The device itself is excellent, and my KH was very happy with it. However, it came with a small piece of silicone tubing that only covered part of the hinge area. After some time, this section would sometimes get irritated by the edges of the silicone. Having read discussions here before about cutting a full length of tubing to go all the way around the ring, I decided to do exactly that. I ordered 1 meter of flexible clear food-grade safe silicone from eBay. The internal diameter was 5mm The external diameter was 8mm It fit tightly, so I squeezed some hand lotion inside the tube before sliding it over the ring. I made sure the tubing went completely over the end as well, trimmed it to length, and then worked out the excess lotion by squeezing and wiping with a tissue. Now the device is wonderful to wear; I barely notice it at all.
