Mrs. Cage is worried about the chill now that JB has been ordered. Since we’re in the northeast, winters here get pretty cold, and she’s afraid the steel might bite into her penis when it freezes. I mentioned using a hand warmer for protection down there, which made her laugh; she joked she could knit a cocksock to cover up the cage.

Any other worries about this?

We might be in the deep south where we don't get that harsh cold, but I haven't found it tricky to stand outside when temps drop below freezing for short stretches. For longer trips out, I wrap an ankle sock around my whole package and it works great. The trick is wearing the right layers so your core stays warm too.

I figure that since body heat warms up the steel, it's really just about keeping protected and staying warm. Even though steel loses heat faster than other materials, your clothes will hold onto warmth and slow down that loss. So unless you're hiking barefoot in freezing woods, you'll be okay; just layer up. Alternatively, if you do go naked hiking when it drops below zero, tie a red ribbon to the cage so you can spot it easily in the snow or on the ground once your gear slips off.
