Still Figuring It Out

I used to be certain that the 1.75 diameter ring on my Chinese Jailbird was as small as I could go. Since I’ve gotten so good at putting the base ring on and taking it off, I decided to give the 1.5 inch ring another try—and managed to get it seated with minimal hassle. It definitely makes pulling out a bit tougher, and naturally shifts how the cage fits against the ring gap, which might prompt some other tweaks.

Trying out these more affordable options really does keep things interesting.
