CB6000 Sizing and Skin Pinching Issues

Typing on my phone so please excuse any mistakes. I have a couple of sizing questions. Yes, I realize that getting a custom metal cage will fix everything, but the cost is too high right now. Maybe in the future.

I’m usually quite comfortable 98% of the time while wearing it. I use the second largest ring paired with the longest spacer. My issue arises when transitioning from erect to flaccid; some parts of my penis remain outside the cage as they go back down. This skin tends to get pinched, and I have to kind of push it back into the tube.

I’ve experimented with smaller spacers, but then my balls start hurting. Would it work to switch back to the largest ring (which was slipping out initially) and use the smallest spacer instead? That way, all of my penis stays inside the tube?

Also, a question about the stocking trick. How exactly does that function? I read through the posts, checked the video links, tried it myself, and it worked too well. It pulled my penis to the end of the tube and then continued pulling it right through! Not enjoyable at all. Do I just leave the sock on until I’m small enough to pull everything out?
