Is the CB 6000 knockoff compatible with the genuine cage?

I’m curious if anyone has experimented with combining components from a generic CB 6000 alongside the original model. I picked up an inexpensive unit online for $30. After adjusting the ring using a vinyl tube, it’s now quite comfortable to wear. However, the standard cage doesn’t seem to suit me perfectly. The inner diameter of 1 3/8” is too tight for my preference, and when soft, the length feels excessive. I noticed that the official CB6000 website lists an alternative cage with a 3” by 1.45” ID which sounds promising, but I’m uncertain whether it will align properly with the rings on this cheaper version. Any advice would be welcome.

I'm not entirely certain about how the pins are constructed on the counterfeit model, but the authentic CB6K features an oval-shaped central hole for its pins. Should your fake's pins be circular rather than oval, you might need to drill out the real one.
