Is My Avatar File Size Too Restricted?

My apologies … I originally had an avatar that was ‘too graphic’ and it got deleted. I don’t recall the file size being huge, but now I feel like there’s a very tight limit on how big any new avatar can be when I upload it. Right now, I have a 66k file that won’t go through. I’d appreciate any tips on getting this one up or uploading something bigger than 16kb? Also, is my earlier mistake causing these size restrictions? Not saying you’re wrong, just wondering if the rule might be loosened up. Brian
