I really like this model. I’ve had one on for months without issue. I thought about getting a custom-made cage but haven’t felt the need to spend that extra money. People have likely said it before, but these are excellent because you can tweak the length easily. Just use pliers to press the rings closer together until the fit is right. I’d love to see someone produce solid base rings with a tab sized correctly for them. I would buy one to replace my split ring. The current split ring isn't bad, but sometimes a solid version feels better.
I’ve tweaked the locking tab and rings slightly by bending them. Surprisingly, I’m quite comfortable with it. It’s my shortest cage yet. I was skeptical at first, but now I see why so many guys prefer the CB6000-S for comfort. Sleeping in it hasn’t been a problem at all. Quick question: What made you choose the 80 over the 81?
I own both models. I’m quite fond of the 81. The bend doesn’t bother me as much as you might think, though it is about half an inch longer than what I need. Between the two, I prefer the 80 because adjusting its size is simple. The stacked rings create a nice enclosed sensation. With the 80, I truly feel caged; even when just lounging, I can sense the metal around me. That specific feeling wasn’t present with the 81.

The 81 didn't give me that same feeling. Hmm, interesting point. If the inner diameter of the 81 is about 1-3/4 inches, then the bars are spaced roughly an inch apart. It looks like it should be enclosing enough, but since the rings on the 80 align differently, it does seem to provide more encagement in that regard. Have you ever used a urinal with the 81? Did the ninety-degree bend cause any trouble?

The 80 is much easier for peeing standing up. One thing I’ve noticed is that unbuttoning my pants helps significantly. If I just unzip the fly, I tend to make a mess. By actually undoing the button, I don’t have to pull my penis away from my body as far. It hangs more naturally, reducing pressure on it and preventing fewer accidents.
