Burning sensation under the scrotum with HTv2 devices

Hello everyone. I’ve been using the holy trainer for about a month now, and I haven’t quite overcome that mild burning feeling under my scrotum. It’s not terrible or constant, but it’s significant enough that I’ve thought about taking the device off (though removing it isn’t something I’d do lightly since I want to stay chaste). I’m currently using a 45 mm ring; could this be a sizing problem? The fit seems okay, yet I still get nocturnal erections that rouse me from sleep with that burning sensation underneath. Just so you know - for the past decade or so, I’ve worn CB-6000s, CB-6000, CB-3000 and The Curve models without ever experiencing this specific burning feeling.

My best guess is that you aren't applying enough lubricant. The plastic might be adhering to your skin and pulling when you erect, which stretches the tissue and triggers irritation. I apply silicone lube around the ring right before going to bed to avoid this problem.

But I do use lubricant. Generously.... Sometimes I need to reapply several times during the day. On other days, like today when I put some on this morning, it holds up well. Maybe switching lube brands would help... What recommendations do you have?
