Using a wrench instead of a key?

I’ve done quite a few adjustments to my CB6000 so it works well for the long haul, both for me and my keyholder. The two issues I faced most were keeping it hidden under clothes, and balancing comfort while preventing my right testicle from slipping through the ring.
To solve these problems, I tweaked the design a bit. Since I am (or was before all this time!) fairly large, I purchased the second-largest accessory ring available. Next, I needed to stop my nuts from sliding back in. Initially, I shortened the spacers, but they ran out of room for adjustment, so I rearranged things. I positioned the cage flush against the ring and placed a shortened spacer on the outside; this ensured the lock applied enough pressure to keep everything steady. It worked reasonably well, though it had more play than I preferred, leading to occasional pinches. It also created a larger bulge in my pants when out in public.
Step two involved swapping the original pin/spacer/lock setup for a nut and bolt arrangement. By running a small bolt through the same spot as the old pin, with less than 1/4” of thread sticking out, I eliminated all that free play using just a washer and nut. Now my cage sits right against the base ring. I’ve also trimmed down the two side locating pins so they don’t protrude. By choosing an oversized base ring (around 5 1/4?), I avoided the shaft chafing issues I used to have, particularly at night. With the cage flush to the ring, there isn’t enough space for my balls to yank through again, keeping them comfortable when relaxed. I’ve had two instances of pull-throughs while sitting on a cold toilet, but that’s quite rare. Initially, I tightened the nut finger-tight, but found it could loosen up and pinch the top of my dick like a lobster claw if not secured properly. The fix is to use a small 3/8 wrench for a snug fit.
Now it sits closer to my body. With no protruding pins or lock mechanism sticking out, it’s much more stealthy. My balls don’t need that smaller ring anymore to stay put. The only downside is that my keyholder will likely trade her traditional key for this pocket-sized wrench when dealing with this cage anyway. I have to admit, there is something quite attractive about being bolted into a device.
