Skin Irritation from Wearing Devices

I feel like I’m cursed!

To be fair, every device I own starts chafing after about a month of wearing it. My current one is the small HT3 model. To fix this, I’ve been using 1000-grit wet/dry sandpaper to smooth out the inner ring right where the irritation happens!

London’s weather has been unusually hot lately, so sweat might be contributing, but today the chafing flared up again!! It’s also exactly four weeks since I started wearing it.

Does anyone else deal with similar problems after a certain amount of time? Oh, and by the way, this same issue happened to me when I wore the MM Jail Bird as well as the CB series!

For what it's worth, MsM applies Aveeno hand cream to 'Her' device A-ring both in the morning and evening. I never have any problems with this method while wearing steel.

I also use a steel cage (Jail Bird). I apply baby oil every day while it's on and haven't had any chafing issues at all, no matter the season.
