Lucy and I have been exploring chastity for a few months now, with me spending most of January inside the cage. I’ve loved both the restriction and some light teasing. However, it’s overlapped with weeks where Lucy hasn’t felt much desire—she has plenty going on right now, so sexy thoughts aren’t coming easily to her. She doesn’t mind if I stay locked up, but it feels a bit pointless when she isn’t really in the mood to receive pleasure (which is what matters most to me). So today we decided to take a short break. We want to dial back the intensity slightly and see if our rhythms can realign again (I’ve only been out of my cage for 20 minutes and I already miss it!). How do you all handle similar times—do you step away from the device, or stay caged and keep going? James.
We used to do long-term wear—weeks or months at a stretch—and then we’d take a few months off before I went back in. As time passed and Mrs. Edge experienced her usual hormonal shifts, her libido would rise and fall (mostly falling, actually:( ), leaving me often (ahem) to sort myself out. Eventually it reached the point where she simply preferred that I stay locked up. It didn't bother me, so I stayed. In fact, I found it helped me feel less neglected but more set aside. Or something like that. That said, long terms were already my norm; your mileage may vary (YMMV). However, you might want to try staying in for another month or two just to see how you handle it.
I’ve only been on this path for a short while myself—two months and eight days to be precise. My thoughts are as follows: it really depends on why you're doing it. I would say that as long as the current situation isn't caused by Lucy, stay locked up because from what I hear, once you drop out for any length of time, going back becomes harder. The more you make it a normal part of your relationship, the less focus it gets unless Lucy specifically wants it. I’m not sure if this is helpful to you and certainly defer to those who have been on this journey much longer than I have.
