New problems arising with my Jailbird device

I’ve already contacted MM regarding this problem, but I’m curious if others have experienced something similar.

I’ve worn my Jailbird for more than three and a half years. I had an unusual incident where it slipped out, so the ring was resized, and since then, it has stayed firmly in place for over three years.

Recently, however, I’ve dealt with skin irritation on three separate occasions during the last six months. The area becomes raw and irritated at the base of the penis and the top of the scrotum—precisely where the largest ring of the cage rests almost constantly. We take breaks to let everything heal up, but now it’s happening again.

Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution?
