Anxiety and Medical Visits

Two hours away from my doctor visit. My pocket holds the emergency key, sealed inside three stapled envelopes dated January 1, 2022. That was when I committed to being locked 24/7 unless she decides otherwise.. The spare key stays right where it always does in our house.. If the doctor needs access there, I suppose I’ll just go with the flow. At least I have a way out if removal becomes necessary. It’s all new territory; easy enough to talk about until you actually live through it. Deep breath..
