Fresh Impressions of the Jailbird Chastity Device

I’m sticking with the CB6000 label, but I’ve recently switched to a Mature Metal Jailbird and absolutely adore it. Following my mentor Dev’s advice, I chose a size smaller than what I initially thought was right. It’s been about a week since I started using the Jailbird, and I’m completely smitten with it. Here are the specs of the one I ordered: Jail Bird Male Chastity Device Ring Style: Oval shape. Cage/Ring Gap is 3/8”. Cage Length is 1 1/4”. Ring Size is a 2” ring. The Cage Diameter is also 1 1/4” Dia. The reason I love this device: it fits snugly enough that I’m constantly aware of its presence. Even when I wake up with a full erection, the sensation stays between my body and the base ring; after that initial pressure, there’s no lingering feeling of excitement or discomfort. My only gripe is with the lock fit. The hole needs to be just one millimeter larger for it to be perfect. Mature Metal has kindly agreed to repair it free of charge, but I’m not keen on giving up my device while they fix it over those few days. So, I’m considering filing down the lock myself so I can keep wearing my Jailbird during the two-week wait. I think that makes me a certified Jailbird addict.

Hi CB6000s, Could you share what your average penis measurements were when you decided on the cage length? I’ve got my ring sizes figured out and have been measuring my flaccid length daily, averaging around 2 inches. That suggests a cage length of about 1 3/4 inch, though sometimes I feel that might be too long. Like you, I don’t want any more cage than strictly necessary.

The CB6000 was 3 ¼” long with an inner diameter of 1 3/8. The first thing I noticed is that I wasn’t using half the length. Second, nocturnal erections were painful because the ring pulled on my balls. Then I switched to the CB 6000s, which are 2 1/2 inches long with the same inner diameter. I still only used part of the length, and while the pain from night erections was reduced, it didn’t disappear completely. When I decided to go full metal jacket, I knew getting the measurements right upfront was crucial due to the cost. The challenge was how to measure yourself? Trying to measure often changed the results because you tense up. Dev made a comment: “You should remember that you are smaller than you think you are.” I tried sneaking a measurement multiple times, though it wasn't always successful. Eventually, I took my best possible measurements and then reduced them by one step down. For diameter, I used the sizing rings provided by Mature Metal. After wearing this device for a week, here is my review: The fit is snug—very snug—which is exactly how I like it. I’m always aware that I am wearing it. Nocturnal erections are no longer an issue; I can wake up totally hard from the base of my body to the ring without pain. After that initial pressure point, there’s absolutely no sensation and no pulling on my balls. Looking back, I’m still glad I started with the CB 6000. It was invaluable for getting the sizing right and allowed me to experiment with male chastity at a relatively low price before deciding this is something I want to devote serious energy to.

Like you, I don't want any more cage than necessary. I’m worried my previous reply didn’t quite answer your question directly; I also measured about 2 inches. However, I deducted 1/2 inch for observational deviation and another 1/4 inch based on Mature Metal’s instructions to account for the gap. I’d probably be just as happy with a 1.5-inch cage, but the feeling of being so constrained makes me feel good all day long.
