Mature Metal discussion

I just got my new Jail Bird device, but I worry the ring might be a touch too small.:-( This could be because oval rings tend to have slightly less height than round ones. There’s some discomfort on the underside—it feels like there’s too much pulling going on. Is this normal during the break-in period? Should I just endure it and see if it settles down? Or would using lube help until my body gets used to it? I don’t want to have to send it back for a bigger ring:-(
