Female led relationships discussion

I’ve been wondering about this for some time: do those of you in a D/s dynamic use chastity mainly to provide denial, or because it offers control… or perhaps both?

It might seem like an obvious question at first glance, but every couple is unique and I’m fascinated by how the dynamic plays out differently for each. I recall reading an interesting post online (which I unfortunately can’t locate again despite trying hard) about a D/s pair who moved from using chastity occasionally to it becoming a major part of their bond.

The Domme/ (I believe they were married) initially adopted it as a way to manage her sub’s sexual life, but later evolved to using it for controlling his erections. They have an open/cuckold arrangement, and she mentioned plans to eventually “phase out” those erections entirely. I’m not certain if they succeeded since the blog has vanished from my search results, but it made me reflect on how chastity functions within a D/s relationship.

Is it somewhat of a progression for D/s couples, or is it primarily an aspect that helps control the sub? Just curious to hear people’s thoughts on this topic.
