Hello everyone reading this. I’m writing a review of my mature metal jailbird that isn’t entirely glowing, though I have some regrets about it. I won’t be posting a bad rating on their site because I believe we should encourage others to try chastity rather than scare them away from the concept or experience. This is not purely a negative critique; there are plenty of good things to say about the jailbird device, but my goal was an HONEST assessment that highlights its downsides as well. I’ve always desired a mature metal piece. After years of reading feedback and waiting alongside my K/H partner, we decided it was time for us—serious participants in the chastity lifestyle—to order one. We view a mature metal device as the pinnacle of chastity gear; if it were a car, it would be a Bugatti or Ferrari. We took the leap and ordered the jailbird. Mature Metal was easy to work with, responsive to emails, and very helpful. The wait felt endless and dampened some excitement. I thought they could have sent a few courtesy updates during this period, especially since we spent hundreds of pounds with them. I did email them myself; their replies were quick, but I worried I seemed like I was pestering them. Once the manufacturing time passed, it became a wait for shipping and delivery. That also took weeks. I didn’t get a tracking number initially, so I emailed MM again to request one. Apparently UPS America doesn’t operate well in the UK, so I had to email MM once more. They were kind enough to check on it, though their systems were down at the time. When the device finally arrived, I was slightly disappointed because black residue filled all the cracks and crevices; it hadn’t been cleaned (I assume this gunk is welding debris?). After a thorough cleaning, I tried it on—ouch! There was a sharp weld mark or similar imperfection on one of the bars. It wasn’t huge, but noticeable. Rather than sending it back, I used a small file to remove it. Regarding fit: it’s quite good, except there is too much curve for my anatomy. Perhaps I should have chosen the Queen’s Keep? But that was my mistake; the cage runs a bit small. However, this worked in my favor because the tight fit feels great, and achieving an erection isn’t as painful with other devices due to the extra space. To end on a brighter note since I dislike being so critical… The jailbird is very comfortable and lighter than some devices (not as light as some claim—you still know it’s there—but definitely pleasant). My anatomy will likely adjust soon, especially given my VERY VERY long wait until removal (apparently one year for every hundred pounds spent—nearly three years then lol)). Also, if you order the pins, get a smaller blunt size. I ordered medium and long, but after a few days of soreness around that area, a small pin might have been better. In short… Yes, buy one; you won’t regret it, just don’t expect perfection, and be prepared for delays. Mature Metal are lovely to deal with. If I had one suggestion for improvement, it would be sending progress reports at key stages of the process. Oh… And that oval base ring… Simply brilliant!!!! Love it!!!
