CB Range discussion

I’ve managed to remove every last burr and bothersome defect from my cb-6000. But I have not attempted to tackle the side vents. Has anyone managed to “remove” (as in cover or fill-in) these on their cb-6000?

Right now, clear tape is what I’m using because it works well. It comes off easily and doesn’t leave a sticky residue behind. However, you do need to replace it fairly often.
