The answer I gave in another thread inspired this one. Did you “discover” these interests during your teenage years while people were starting to explore their sexuality, or was it later on? Looking back now, this feeling has been deep inside me for so long that I knew about it even in my early teens. However, I couldn’t explain it then, and it felt more abstract than any specific Ds/fetish fantasies. In fact, sex itself was the last piece of the puzzle to fall into place, thanks largely to a girl I met at university. I was 19, and she was a few years older than me, but mentally she seemed much more mature and “adult” compared to my:) (even though from an outsider’s view, we were just two young university students). She helped me greatly understand my feelings and introduced me to the concepts of Ds and chastity. If I hadn’t met her, it would have taken several more years for me to discover and grasp everything. When I chat with my local BDSM friends who are a few years younger than me, I notice they seem even better informed than I was back then, despite being only slightly younger in age. Thanks to societal shifts and increasingly accessible information, many of them understand these dynamics quite early on. For a lot of them, it isn’t just another round of sexual experimentation but rather something integral to their personality. This seems distinct from my friends in the older generation, where discovery often happens later in life, typically when children have left home and they have more time for themselves.
