“I really enjoyed the Birdlocked Neo right out of the box. It’s very comfortable, and for the most part I completely forgot it was there. Occasionally I had to fiddle with my ‘boys’ — they would shift left or right along the strap, so I’d even them up again.
For my first lockup, I went three weeks without taking it off as a personal challenge. Cleaning was tough but manageable using body wash and a plastic syringe. However, this device does hold onto odors, making a deep clean difficult. It seems to need more soaking in the bath than just showering.
Right now, I’m wrapping up another two-week lockup, but removing it every 2-3 days for cleaning. Scrubbing and soaking are necessary, which is annoying since my partner isn’t around currently. Last time someone held the key, but they weren’t acting as a ‘Keyholder’ — meaning they didn’t really supervise me unlocking myself several times a week to wash.
Whether I have a true Keyholder supervising or not, there will be moments when I want that continuous wear challenge again, like my first attempt. It might be worth saving up for the stainless steel model so I can enjoy that experience fully.
Also, the Birdlocked gives some stimulation through squeezing and pressing — sometimes it’s too tempting!
I’d suggest the Birdlocked to beginners, or anyone flying who uses a plastic lock, or in cases where your setup allows you to take it off often.” ”, “post_id”: 253841, “subject”: ""
