**Disclaimer ** This reflection is mine alone and does not claim to explain the broader reality or represent a general stance. It simply reflects my personal thoughts, drawn from my own experiences.:) As someone who submits, I sense an underlying expectation that when the chance to step into a D/s role arises, we seize it eagerly—like a dog chasing a bone or a shark circling blood… The logic of economics applies here too? Demand runs high while supply stays low… Those with fewer options must accept what is offered. Perhaps there’s also an unspoken rule that a submissive should not act as the one choosing, since being selective might seem contrary to their nature… Yet I hold my own standards. I won’t just lower myself before a woman simply because she holds power. Nor will I surrender control in any manner just because she is dominant. I’ll add another point… I refuse to grovel at her feet merely because she is both attractive and powerful. Nor do I yield to her influence solely on those grounds. To me, it’s about more than surface traits… Intellect, mutual fit, the rhythm of our dialogue, and common interests matter deeply among other qualities… I’ve even come to think that perhaps I lean toward sapiosexuality. So here is my conclusion: While submissives are often viewed as being on a lower tier compared to their superior Dominants (note the capitalized “D” versus lowercase “s”), I argue that the desire for an excellent Dominant should be just as strong as the pursuit of a fine submissive…for everyone’s good, both personally and collectively.
