I picked up a Happygo A221 cage since I was keen on an aspect of caging that isn’t easily handled by 3D printing, and the fit let me down - now it seems my frustration is shared! The 50mm ring felt oversized, while the spacing on the 45mm version restricted blood flow to my testicles due to a narrow gap. I haven’t found a clear solution yet.
I heard that many of these cages use interchangeable rings and thought about buying an ergonomic one to see if it resolved the issue, but I worked out my own fix and wanted to share what I came up with recently. It’s a 3D-printable ring compatible with the A221, likely working with other models too. While it won’t match the strength of metal, the deeper wells for the pins secure it much better and should prevent skin from getting caught in the holes. The “wings” will also help keep skin from moving around at the top.
This is mostly a side project distraction right now, but if there’s enough interest, I can share designs for other sizes. [[Image: Chinese Cage Compatible Ring v5.PNG]](the referenced community page)
