Female led relationships discussion

I caught a small excerpt from the books I mentioned. It really appealed to me, so I ordered the box set. They’re currently on their way here from Amazon. Today, while checking my order status, I clicked through to read reviews. There are quite a few people giving it just one star. I wonder if these readers expected yet another vampire saga, or perhaps they aren’t into kink? Has anyone here gone through them? What’s your take?
