I had a realization last night while puzzling over why I’ve felt so down lately.
I’ve been trying to present myself as a Domme, or at least approach kink and chastity through that lens, but it just isn’t my true nature. There is a massive distinction between the two in my eyes.
A Domme, Owner, FLR ruler, etc., wields immense power—often all of it within the relationship. She can hand out punishments when needed; she leads everything or chooses to delegate that leadership to her partner as desired. But that style isn’t even close to what fits me.
I am a Keyholder. I absolutely adore male chastity. To me, it is deeply romantic and intimate. It also serves as a path for personal growth for those who seek it out. I could practice keyholding without being in a traditional romance; that appeals to me too. I might be a keyholder for a service submissive—he runs my errands, washes the car, etc.—to “earn” his freedom or show appreciation for me holding his lock. Or I could continue what I’m doing with @Dev810: guarding the keys to his personal development. As another sub put it, I guide both his inner evolution and outer presentation, like giving “his soul and wardrobe a shoe shine.” I would be content spending my life guiding others who want change but don’t know how to achieve it.
I have a helper’s spirit. It has been that way all my life; I even majored in Social Work. My goal is to help everyone around me however possible. At the same time, I am somewhat of a perfectionist and control freak. With Dev810, I use these traits healthily as his Growth Keyholder. However, if I fully embraced those tendencies and became a demanding, full-blown Domme, it would be terrible for my mental well-being and anyone under me.
Despite being OCD and controlling, I don’t crave more control over other people. I want to practice listening, compromise, support, and setting boundaries. Being a Domme doesn’t feel right unless it’s playful. I realized that when I tried to act dominant, I was just trying to please everyone. It feels so wonderful to let go of that false notion.
Chastity is romantic for me. It’s a symbol, a promise, and an expression of respect; it touches my heart. If you can’t manage your own cock properly, I can lovingly care for it for you and keep it safe from your eager hands.
I have no interest in the FLR model, honestly. The only aspect that would intrigue me is leading the healing journey within a chastity relationship. Stop seeing yourself as a walking erection. Heal society’s wounds. Submit to my nurturing nature, let me heal you. Let me be healed and supported by you.
I don’t want to bark orders all day long. I don’t want to make every single decision. I just want to hold your key and offer you my heart.
