I stumbled upon this ‘Good Housewife’s Manual’ which was originally released in 1955:

It’s hard to believe! And a little unsettling. It feels like the right moment to draft a contemporary ‘Good Husband’s Manual’ or an ‘FLR Guide for Men.’ Here is my opening move:

1. Kneel and remove her shoes when she returns home. She has probably had a difficult day, so greet her in a manner that shows you are ready to please her the moment she steps through the door. Do you want to contribute more rules?;)
