I returned from work at the construction site last evening to find P waiting for me, looking both shy and thrilled. She served my meal, helped me tidy up, and then as we settled on the sofa to catch a bit of television, she turned toward me with news: “I have something special for you!” Fetching a padded envelope and scissors from her side table drawer, she apologized that this wasn’t available during last week’s birthday celebration but hoped I’d enjoy it.

She snipped open the package and revealed what might be one of the most elegant yet straightforward bracelets I’ve ever laid eyes on. Next came a key! My heart nearly stopped. She fastened the bracelet around my wrist, secured the locking link, and started winding that hidden screw with the key. Nearing completion, she met my gaze and declared, “I hope you’re comfortable, because it’s staying put—no exceptions.” With the key safely tucked into its holder on her ring and a hearty kiss bestowed upon me, I was all set.

For anyone considering how to subtly display their locked status in public settings, this is an excellent choice. It looks like fine jewelry from afar but hides a shackle at its core. Removing it without either the key or causing damage seems impossible. Being married to such a thoughtful woman makes me feel privileged, and I consider myself among the very fortunate men within our community.

Very nice. Just wondering regarding safety while working in construction: will it hold up well? I hope you won't snag it on equipment or hurt your wrist/arm.
