Greetings! I recently purchased a 3D printer and I’d like to create my own kinky accessories and chastity devices. Back in tech class about fourteen years ago, I picked up the fundamentals of construction and CAD, but it’s been a while since I’ve really engaged with that field. Consequently, I feel a bit out of touch when it comes to CAD programs. I need an affordable solution… A lot of options seem to demand recurring subscription fees. Right now, I’m experimenting with FreeCAD and OpenSCAD. However, like many open-source tools, their interfaces can be clunky; FreeCAD, in particular, feels quite unintuitive for me. Do you have any recommendations for CAD programs that are budget-friendly and reasonably easy to learn? ^^ I realize specialized tools usually come with a bit of a learning curve. Since I regularly use various IDEs and DAWs for coding and music production, I’m somewhat familiar with software environments. Thanks ahead of time for your help, and enjoy the rest of your day!:)
For what you're doing, I'd suggest Fusion 360. It's the free option with rich features that I use. If you want something simpler for your tasks, TinkerCAD is also quite popular.
TurboCAD used to offer a free version with limited features that could fit the bill.
