Hi, I got locked up last night and had to sleep in a knock-off Holy Trainer using the largest ring. The pain all night was terrible; I wasn’t sure if I could ever get used to sleeping in such a device. I’m wondering about belts like The Protector or an arch-style belt—are they less painful for sleep? My main issue is the ring around the balls, which has been the same problem with the last two devices I’ve owned.

Personally, I only had issues sleeping when wearing smaller rings. I’m in a Chinese steel cage. I haven’t worn a belt yet, but I think that would be harder to get used to than the cage. Best of luck to you.

Simply can't find any way to sleep; don't know if it's just me or because my ring is 55 mm (the biggest size) and that hasn't helped at all.

I have a Holy Trainer nub knock-off from China... I use the largest base ring and have no difficulty sleeping at all... honestly one of the most comfortable devices I’ve owned. Sucks that yours is giving you trouble.

I've been sleeping nude for decades, so at first it was almost impossible to sleep through the night. Eventually I just got used to wearing it while asleep. I think that a good fit, which helps inhibit erections, would be more comfortable than a loose ring. Snug without being too tight is my best option.

If the device allows you to get partially erect, that will cause the penis to literally pull the cage forward, tugging the ring behind it. That's what makes the balls sore. If you can't get an erection at all, you shouldn't have any pain (unless the skin just needs a bit of moisturizer before bed). I have a Jailbird and a Chinese A271, which I sleep in with no problems.

I have the Neosteel Spaceless + FUN and sleeping is not an issue. I've had a MySteel too and found that belts are far more comfortable to sleep in; no ball tugging! The only position that isn't most comfortable is lying on my stomach, but it's still doable. Side sleeping is the most comfortable for me and it's my natural position! If you are careful with the measuring kit and take time to shape it for your body, you won't even notice it. Waking up with an erection needing to pee is still a bit of an issue.
