I finally gave in and purchased a Creality Ender 3 Pro about half a year ago. Naturally, I soon began playing around with chastity devices. While the metal piece from Mature Metal has served me well, there is always room for refinement.
One change I wanted to implement was adopting the Holy Trainer style lock mechanism. Additionally, my penis tends to shrink significantly when flaccid, so a PA piercing paired with a segment ring became essential if I wanted a truly “pull-out proof” setup. A short length of chain keeps that segment ring anchored within the cage. The challenge is securing those loose ends inside the locking mechanism. Lastly, since I dislike having my testicles compressed through a solid band, I’ve always preferred an openable ring for easier donning and doffing.
After weighing all these factors and testing numerous prototypes, I arrived at a design that works well: secure yet comfortable. It was printed in grey PLA using FreeCAD. If anyone is interested in the parametric source files, just let me know.
The odd shape of the ring resulted from one testicle slipping out during early tests. Instead of redesigning everything, I simply shortened the lower section of the band. Also note that the alignment/locking pins extending from the cage are separate components. Nice, unique solution on the multi part ring - I do like that. Your lock is essentially a scaled up version of the "chinese cage" lock, which gives good flexibility with attatchments, but is it strong enough? Those pins are floating in between holes in the ring and the cage aren't they?
I believe the lock is strong enough. I print with the long axis of the lock cylinder along the printer's z axis. In some earlier prototypes, the cylinder broke while trying to get the lock pushed through. I think the printed object is more likely to break between the z axis layers when stressed, so I orient the prints so layers are not in the direction of stress, even if that means it takes longer to print, and is harder to finish. Also, the alignment pins help prevent the cage from rotating upward, which takes some of the stress off the lock itself. Regarding the pins, yes, they are free floating, but much tighter on the cage side. Originally, the pins were part of the cage, but would occasionally break if the fit was too tight, when trying to put all the pieces together. The cage takes like 4 hours to print, and is a real pain to clean after printing, so I made the pins a separate part. That is why there is a small hole on the front of the ears that hold the pins: if one breaks off, I can push the stump out with a small pin. (That hasn't happened, yet). The diameter of the pin is limited by the chain I use with my PA piercing. Though I don't think the pins are the weakest part, I could use a cut off nail if more strength is needed. Nicely done. That is a very good design We also started out on an Ender 3 with our full coverage chastity devices. Heart-On Chastity. 3D printing has made so much possible. Keep up the good work!
