Female led relationships discussion

Madam has informed me that she won’t be home for dinner because she’s planning to meet a male friend in the evening. I realize it is just socializing, yet I feel somewhat unsettled. My workday tasks are complete and all household chores have been finished (though I noticed myself washing dishes by hand instead of using the dishwasher), leaving me with a sense of being adrift.

Usually, this would be when I start preparing dinner for Madam’s expected arrival at 5 PM, but this change in my routine is definitely affecting me. I am not exactly sure why; it feels like some kind of failure on my part if I do not find something productive to occupy the extra time alone.

Does anyone else experience these same feelings?
