I have a small HTV3 and love it, but hygiene became an issue with longer lock ups. I am wearing a metal cage now and like that it doesn't need to be taken off for cleaning. My KH also likes the steel look.

I own a clone of the standard htv3. We ordered it just to see how it went since it was only $10.00. We also have several metal ones; as mentioned, metal is better for long-term use. Personally, I find the original HTV3 more comfortable.
