Regarding the MCN screws: does the screw head have enough depth to grip the key properly? My Jailbird’s key was a tight fit in the screw head. It slipped out so often when I tried turning it that I worried I’d never get it unscrewed at times. Plus, the small size of the screws made insertion and alignment take forever. The issue bothered me enough that I drilled out the threads and switched to using a padlock instead. Just sharing my experience honestly. Do you feel confident in locking with the key engaged on both sides for MCN devices? Are other devices’ screws superior? Thanks in advance!

The screw thread is a standard size. You might have simply purchased replacement screws and key from another vendor. Currently, you could also re-tap the hole to the next larger size to accommodate different screws.
